Who We Are

Join in the fun at Graffiti & Silk in Leesburg or Purcellville! This thrift store helps to teach our at-risk youth how to merchandise, take inventory and use customer service skills. Through this we will also generate income to fund our homeless clients’ emergency shelter stays and Uber rides. We have needs for: Woodworking/carpentry projects, electrical projects, small tile projects, spray painting, graffiti artists, clothing sorters and hangers, and lots of creative options!

What We Do

Living up to the name, Graffiti & Silk celebrates juxtapositions and brings together disparate perspectives, ideas and talents. Mobile Hope’s modern concept thrift will push boundaries through art and fashion and technologies, mixing wood and metal, video and social media, paint and materials, found objects and vintage items. Graffiti & Silk is also a learning lab of Trading Up, Mobile Hope’s trade school. The program focuses on helping at-risk youth identify interests, pursue passions, and acquire skills to achieve self-sufficiency. Mobile Hope clients will learn aspects of retail from merchandising to software to customer service and work alongside visiting professors, in-house artists, and textile artisans. Come volunteer with us!
