YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY COMPLETED AN INTERVIEW AND BEEN APPROVED FOR VOLUNTEERING. Please visit this page for more information. *Court mandated volunteers may only sign up for one time slot per day*
Rules:
- Court volunteers must fill out appropriate paperwork, get interviewed and be pre-approved by Roxce, KC, Joe or Donna. Once they have been approved they must complete handbook/rules test before starting hours. Court volunteers will be placed in dedicated timeslots that work with both their schedule and Mobile Hope's schedule.
- Court volunteers must sign in and clock out every time they arrive or leave the property.
While court volunteers are on campus:
- They must check in with KC or Joe for task list right after signing in.
- Once a task is completed they must ask for the next task.
- They must not leave campus without notifying a member of Mobile Hope staff or without clocking out.
- No listening to loud OR inappropriate music while on campus.
- No fraternizing with clients. (You should only be engaging with MH employees and other court volunteers. Please limit your interactions with all others.)
- Court volunteers are not allowed to operate heavy equipment or to work on a MH vehicle.
- If a court volunteer injures themself they must notify a MH employee right away!
- If court volunteer is nowhere to be found, a MH employee has the right to clock them out.
- Court volunteers are not allowed to receive any MH benefits if they are not also registered as a client. (If you are unsure of your status as a client, please speak with Roxce, Joe, Donna, or KC.)
- No stealing!
- If a court volunteer is sick or not feeling well they may not come in to work on their hours.
- It is the court volunteer's responsibility to ask for updated/completed community service hours in a timely fashion. MH staff needs 48 hour notice to print out completed community service hours or to email hours to Parole Office.
- MH is not allowed to give hours without those hours being completed. We will not forge documents or give community service hours if the hours haven't been completed.
- Court volunteers that need more than 50 service hours must start their hours in a timely fashion. If it is deemed that they won't have the necessary time to complete their hours here at MH then they must look into other organizations to also volunteer with.
